Andy Peterson BSc (Hons) Acupuncture, BSc Hons Sport & Exercise Science, MBAcC

Andy was born in Ashby, Leicestershire but grew up in Canterbury attending the Harvey Grammar School where he was a Prefect and Captain of the school basketball and swimming teams. During A-level studies he also trained as a reflexologist with Kent Adult Education.

He progressed to Nottingham Trent University achieving a degree in sport and exercise science. Immediately upon graduation, with ambition to work more clinically in sport and general health, he began a second degree at the University of Lincoln studying traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) acupuncture. Here he learned his trade from some of the UK’s most experienced acupuncturists.  During this time Andy also completed a course in cosmetic acupuncture at the International College of Chinese Medicine. Andy takes particular interest in cases of sports injury and muscular skeletal pain in addition to health and fitness, respiratory disorders, addictions and fertility. Andy is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC).

A keen sportsman Andy has a passion for swimming and water polo. Regularly competing at national league level for his Kent based team Invicta. Like a lot sportsmen Andy sustained an injury and struggled to fully recover. His interest in acupuncture was born when he tried it as a last resort for his shoulder injury and was pleasantly surprised with the successful result.

Now living in Harrow with his partner, Andy also runs clinic sessions in various other west London establishments and further offers consultancy work with Reading Football Club.
