What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy uses the science of nutrition in the promotion of optimum health and wellbeing.

It is a holistic and individualised approach, which seeks to alleviate existing symptoms or help prevent future ill health.

Nutritional therapy can be of benefit to everyone, whether it is just a diet overhaul to improve general health or whether it is to improve a chronic health problem that conventional medicine finds difficult to treat. These can include bowel disorders such as IBS, allergies, fatigue, stress, migraine, hormonal imbalances such as PMS and skin conditions.

Many symptoms can be due to an imbalance within the body and nutritional therapy seeks correct the root cause rather than mask the symptoms. By correcting our nutrient intake we can optimise our body’s natural processes ie digestion, detoxification, immune defence and energy production, in order to improve our overall health and reduce symptoms.

Nutritional therapy is a safe and gentle approach to health, based on scientific research and knowledge.

As research continues to show the therapeutic benefit of a healthy diet and lifestyle, more people are seeking expert nutritional advice as an answer to long-term health.
